The core usage of tile back coating adhesive is: clean the tile back → evenly apply → air dry until transparent → use tile adhesive to lay, cannot be directly applied with cement mortar, and must wait for the back coating to dry before construction. ‌‌

Wash the brick back clean first

If there is floating ash, release agent or wax layer on the back of the ceramic tile, it will seriously affect the bonding effect. Clean the back with a wire brush or weakly alkaline cleaning agent, air dry before operation, otherwise the backing adhesive is prone to hollowing and peeling off. ‌‌‌

How to apply evenly

Use a brush or roller to evenly apply the back coating adhesive on the back of the ceramic tile. It is recommended to use the "cross cross method" to brush twice, with a thickness controlled at around 0.5mm, to avoid missed coating or excessive accumulation. ‌‌‌

⏳ How long can it take to dry for tiling

After painting, it is necessary to let it dry. At an ambient temperature of 25 ℃, it usually takes 1-3 hours until the backing adhesive becomes a transparent film and does not stick to the touch of the fingers before it can be applied. When it is low temperature and high humidity, the drying time should be extended. ‌‌‌

The drying time varies among different brands of products, please refer to the product manual for details. It is recommended to maintain the construction temperature between 5 ℃ and 35 ℃. ‌‌‌
